Bulat Utemuratov and his partners thought about the best school education for Kazakh children when they founded the Haileybury schools in Astana and Almaty. Now, more than 1300 students can get a world-class secondary education without the need to leave Kazakhstan. They are trained based on a special system of 100 highly qualified British teachers.
Students of Kazakhstan Haileybury schools take part in international Olympiads in different subjects on a regular basis. In 2017 alone they brought as many as 20 medals, including 5 gold ones, from the most prestigious World Scholar's Cup in Yale. Since 2013, on the initiative of Bulat Utemuratov, orphanages and hospitals in Kazakhstan got assistance for almost 500 million tenge.
